The Calyx sample kit is sent to every existing and potential customer across the country, and is often the first interaction a potential client has with Calyx products. It therefore needs to: represent the Calyx visual brand, allow a vast variety of types of clients to envision their own branding on the outside of the containers, as well as their product within, and finally make the client fall in love with the product enough to reach out and place an order….all in all a lot of gravity to place on a label design.

In collaboration with the Calyx Creative team, I along with talented designer Ruby Rose, created a suite of label and box designs for the 2021-2022 Calyx product sample kit line up that taps into several current design trends and flexes the creative team’s design capability.

This required months of collaboration and planning, custom die-line creation, close working relationships managing external printing vendors, and intimate knowledge of a variety of print effects and current packaging trends. All in all, a hugely satisfying project to be a part of.
